StoneFloor is the CULMINATION of this; a professional-rated, high quality and elegant product built to improve upon the deficiencies of traditional floor coverings. Pushing Australian’s a step closer towards a hassle-free lifestyle.

To understand the advantages of StoneFloor over timber flooring, lets first talk about timber flooring.

Traditional wood flooring, whilst its natural roots provides it with an unbeatable, natural, beautiful and generous texture, it also results in it being afraid of moisture and over-drying. Consequently, this makes its applicability limited and only suitable for use in a balanced, humid indoor environment. As an example, when used in living environments that experience high humidity and heat, traditional wood floorings often succumb to several key issues including; cumulative shrinkage, expansion as well as cracking. Further, if used in such environments, it requires the daily maintenance of a dry environment to ensure longevity.

StoneFloor, whilst possessing a similar natural aesthetic of traditional wood flooring is engineered to excel in all living environments. Building upon the deficiencies of wood flooring, StoneFloor is 100% waterproof, sunlight resistant, terminate resistant, mould resistant and possess other super stable functions, allowing it to be used indoors in any environment. Additionally, being 100% Waterproof, in the event of water seepages, your StoneFloor will be COMPLETELY fine.

StoneFloor provides you with the beautiful, stylish and premium look of tile and marble floors WITHOUT the Dilemmas.

Unlike the always cold surface of Tile and Marble Floors, StoneFloor’s unique material composition makes it cool in the Summer whilst providing a warm underfoot in the Winter to provide you the best experience all year around.

StoneFloor’s formula and material composition also provides it with the enhanced durability  to ensure it stays as fresh as day one for every day to come. No more worries about your beautiful floors cracking!

Further, whilst Natural Stones such as tile and marble floors contain trace amounts of radiation, StoneFloor is NOT a Natural Stone. Instead, StoneFloor is made from a choice of refined stone powder materials which DO NOT contain radioactivity. This makes StoneFloor an environmentally safe product with almost no radiation source, so rest assure and use StoneFloor with confidence

As with all product in the marketplace, drawbacks inevitably exist. However, at StoneFloor, we believe it is the weighing of the pros and cons that matters the most. The main drawbacks of StoneFloor are summarised below:

1) Cost: As StoneFloor utilises a truly solid 8mm core and a manufacturing process that involves the use of Industry Leading high-temperature and anti-aging hot melt technology, compared with other products in the market, StoneFloor will inevitably be more expensive.

2) Weight: StoneFloor’s use of natural limestone powder and a solid 8mm core naturally increases its weight compared to other products

(3) Installation Speed: Because of the patented four-sided locking system used by StoneFloor and its increased weight, compared to other similar products, installation speed will often be 10% slower. Additionally, as this professional locking system requires greater skill and is more time-consuming, it will slightly increase installation costs. However, we believe this is fair tradeoff for the improved stability, flatness, durability and solidity provided. Ultimately, for individuals pursuing quality and longevity, we believe despite the increased cost and time of choosing a four sided locking product, it is a worthy long term investment.

Preparation / Installation

  • Drop Saw
  • Tapping block
  • Rubber mallet
  • Tape measure

Yes. UNILIN’s Locking System makes installing StoneFloor just like installing regular flooring; whether it be floating or Glued Down.

The only main difference with installing StomeFloor is its extra weight which is mostly due to its Solid 8mm Thick Limestone composite base.

1) This is because StoneFloor utilises a hardened EVA waterproof underlay that is specifically designed to be separate from the floor board. This ensures floor boards are more tightly joined, have greater weight-absorbing capabilities, more balanced and ultimately more stable and durable. Compared to traditional water-absorbing underlay, our EVA waterproof underlay is less susceptible to mould formation and the releasing of unpleasant odours produced by moisture and soaking.

2) The separation of the acoustic underlay from the floor board allows for greater installation flexibility for professionals. It allows installers to vary installation methodologies (glued-down or floating) according to the installation environment.

Yes. Due to StoneFloor’s superb stability, it can be installed either glued-down or floating. The edges can be sealed with silicone caulking, and the floor can be installed before the kitchen cabinets, so that the kitchen cabinets and the floor can be seamlessly and beautifully connected.

Cleaning / Maintenance

Yes, Absolutely!

Unlike ANY traditional flooring, you can easily clean your StoneFloor with a JUST a bucket of water and a mop.
